DRAFT: not reviewed by a lawyer, owner must review before launch

Last updated: 2026-10-30

These are draft terms for using LawnYear. They are not legal advice.

Information only

Everything on this site is general information. It is not a replacement for a professional, such as a local lawn care expert or your cooperative extension office. Approximate dates for your state. Check with your local cooperative extension office before you act.

No guarantees

Dates, rates and amounts are approximate and depend on your weather, soil and grass. We do not guarantee that following them gives any particular result.

Photo diagnosis

The photo diagnosis is an automated estimate made by an AI model (provided by OpenAI) from the photo you upload. It may be wrong, and we do not guarantee its accuracy. It does not recommend specific products or chemicals. Read product labels and check local guidance before treating your lawn.

The diagnosis is free once per email address and per device. There is also a daily limit on how many diagnoses the site runs, and a limit on requests per person, so it can be unavailable at times. Upload only photos you have the right to share, and do not upload photos of people. Do not misuse the service: no automated or repeated requests, and no attempts to get around the limits.

Paid features

Paid features are not available yet. Pages and buttons that mention a price (for example a yearly plan for more diagnoses) are a "launching soon" notice only: you cannot buy anything, nothing is charged, and leaving your email for an update is not an order.

Limitation of liability

The site is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses or damage (including to your lawn or plants) from using the site.

Changes

We may change these terms at any time. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms.
